I am so sick of Bono. He needs to get off his high horse and start making some good music. Why is whining considered good? Ok some bands can pull of whining, but Bono whining? I dont get it. Why is U2 so big? Maybe it’s because they cater to idiots who dont know shit about music but they have a lot of money and they are willing to spend it on whatever the media tells them to. Let’s remember that U2 fans are after all, like sheep. Maybe Bono will lead them all to jump off a rolling green cliff in Ireland and down into the ocean. To drown. Forever.

U2 re-released their 1983 live concert album, Under a Blood Red Sky today.  The album supposedly takes place in Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre while in fact only two songs- “Gloria” and “Party Girl”- were from the actual concert. The rest of the tracks were taken from a live set in Germany. Regardless, the album was still well-recievedback then and probably will be now.

I knew Bono was a big and all with his music, and his sunglasses, and his millions of sold albums, and his charity work, but I didnt know he had clearance to be in attendance at United Nations meetings! Read the story here.

Bono reported in to fansite u2.com with a run down on the new record. Sorry fans, you’ll have to wait until early 2009 to hear the songs. The band has been writing and recording their follow-up to How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb since last year. Apparently, U2 has foun their creative spark in the south of France and have recorded over 50 songs. And they dont plan on stopping until they use it all up. Bono stated that with the new record the band plans to “defy gravity once again” causing one to wonder if the recording overload will indeed produce hits or if this new record and the delay is a front for lack of creativity? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

The world has been graced with 32 years of U2. If you’re looking for a celebration tour…well, you’re not going to find one just yet. But if you’re looking for another way to celebrate, why not pick up the re-releases of 1980-83’s legendary Boy, October, and War, completely remastered and now considered deluxe editions. Unless you want to spend hours scouring in record stores for original pressings of these albums, buying them online is a lot easier.

The band has dismissed any concerns about the four track from their soon to be released album having reached the internet. The song’s which were reportedly titled “Moment of Surrender,” “For Your Love,” “Sexy Boots” and “No Line on the Horizon” were of very very poor sound quality. They were removed from YouTube soon after copyright violation complaint filled by Universal. They were reportedly recorded by a Dutch fan from outside Bono’s apartment in the French Riviera. The band spokesman said that even though the song’s were barely audible, the amount of media coverage and publicity that it got hinted at the extreme amount of jealousy.

Four songs from the Irish rock band’s forthcoming album found their way on the Internet after U2 front man Bono was caught playing the songs a bit too loudly on his stereo at his villa in the south of France. The fans passing by recorded the songs and uploaded them on YouTube.The songs from a forthcoming album called “No Line On The Horizon”–include the title track, “Sexy Boots,” “Moment Of Surrender,” and “For Your Love.” If this tale rings true, it wouldn’t be the first time U2 has lost control of unreleased music. In 2004, the band had similar problems with stolen songs from their album- “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb” when a cd containing unfinished songs was stolen. The Irish pop band group U2 who are in the news for one reason or the other has again come into the limelight and this time it is the release of their June 5^th, 1983 classic concert held at Colorado that will be released for the first time on DVD on the 30^th of September. The same concert was earlier released on the VHS in late 80’s. The DVD version will comprise of 5 songs that have not been included in the VHS tape. The concert was titled “Live At Red Rocks” and the VHS was very popular among the U2 fans. There is no doubt that the DVD will also be in great demand once it is released.
