New Review

Another set of reviews are in, and even more people are raving about U2’s new record. Not only does it have some clear hit songs, but it also includes some great innovations that change what we think of the group in so many ways. They use musical styles and sounds that will surprise anyone and will really get you to think that the group is always thinking on their feet. It’s a very new and fun way to spend an afternoon, just listening to this record. You can probably still hear it on their MySpace page, or wait a few more days and buy the album for yourself. I’m certainly looking forward to hearing it again, as soon as possible!
Reviews are trickling in

The Chicago Tribune LeisureBlog has a short preliminary review of U2’s new album, No Line on the Horizon, released on Friday on their MySpace page. It’s a good review, and we’re pleased about that. The columnist seems happy to see that the band is really getting into the spirit of adventure that they used to have. And their new sound is also quite fun. But there is a little tradeoff that you get: there is less emphasis on melody and lyrics, and more interest in the sounds that they are producing. This isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s good to know. The group doesn’t have quite the same retro style that they used to have, which is considered to be better. The style was on their previous albums, but it is good to hear them with a new sound and doing it well!

U2’s new album, Get on your Boots, was released today on the U2 MySpace page and you can stream it starting now! We know you’ve been waiting all this time to hear this album, so here it is! We’re certainly hoping to see a great turnout of people to actually buy it, but it’s also a kind of exciting event to see it on the MySpace page. You’ll really like it, I’m completely sure. Make sure you check it out either today, or when it’s released in a week or so. Let me know!
Get on Your Boots to Go Buy the Album

U2’s upcoming album, “No Line on the Horizon“, has been released to some reviewers this week and the London Telegraph really likes it. Intensely. And it sounds like it’s going to be amazing. We’ve been hearing that this album is great, one of their best musical works thusfar, but that’s from the producers and the promoters, so you pick and choose what you actually believe. But this time, it’s an independent source. And that writer says that the difference is probably that the band worked with the producers throughout the creative process, rather than just from the recording part. So the songs have a great feel, while also being philosophical. So the style is a good mix of rock and roll but have also more depth than the standard.
U2 Late Night

U2 will be playing on the David Letterman show at the beginning of March this coming year. It’s going to be a very exciting show. In fact, it will be five shows, since they are going to be there for a week. Forget the bald guy. U2 will be the in-house band for that whole week, and we’ll have to watch it then. It’s an exciting time to be a U2 fan. They have a new album coming out, in several different versions, and they are also going to be on a broadcast network show for a full week. I’m really excited about it and you should be too!
Vs. Radiohead
Posted on February 9th, 2009 at 10:28 am by Damien

U2 and Radiohead went head-to-head in a way last night at the Grammys. Radiohead has been reported to be trying to overtake U2 as one of the best bands in the world. They think that U2 has had their time and now it’s time for someone else to be at the top. But if they would notice, at the Grammys U2 opened the show. We weren’t even nominated for one, but next year, it’s definitely going to happen! We shall see what’s going to happen in the future, but I don’t think Radiohead won anything at all last night, so you figure it out. Who is the best band? Who is the more respected one?
U2 Internet Initiative

U2’s manager has gone from upset to crafty. He used to say that internet freeloaders were going to ruin the music industry. But now he is in the process of releasing U2’s first single of the new album on the internet, catering directly to those particular freeloaders. It’s exciting to see that they’re changing their tactics. They’ve done a pretty good job of it too, I must say, and we’ll have to see what happens next! Only a few weeks until the album comes up!
Trouble on the Horizon?

The new U2 album will be coming out a little later in the spring and it’s expected to be one of their best. But there is, of course, a controversy going on. Apparently, the cover of the new album is very close to the cover of an album by Taylor Deupree. Take a look above to see a comparison. U2’s album is called “No Line on the Horizon”. In other news, a U2 song, “Get on your boots” was in the NFL Network’s Super Bowl commercial that aired last evening during the game. I thought that was already planned, but it seems to have been reported today rather than last week.
